How you inherit a class
Marvelous describes a progression system in which Wade reads memories within artifacts and inherits the classes and abilities of heroes from earlier eras. Exploration supplies the connection to those heroes; their knowledge expands what you can do in combat.
The English sources use “Classes” and “Abilities.” The Japanese site describes jobs and skills. These are two localizations of the announced inheritance system, rather than evidence of four separate progression layers.

Combining classes and abilities
The Steam description says that inherited classes and abilities can be freely combined into a battle style. That gives class selection a relationship with your command choices, rather than making it only a character label.
For example, the useful questions for a future build will be what a class provides, which inherited abilities complement it and how those choices interact with enemy timing. The number of class slots, restrictions on combinations and passive-ability rules have not been announced in the sources available here.
Has the full class list been announced?
A complete named class roster has not been published in the announcement materials reviewed for this guide. The battle screenshot shows individual command names, which are collected on the skills page. It would be premature to turn those commands into a class list.
Likewise, the game’s character roles describe people in the story. Neria being called a warrior, or Marti a naturalist, does not on its own establish a selectable class with that name.
The three connections to follow
| Start with | Follow it to | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| An artifact | The memory of a previous owner | Identifies the source of inherited knowledge. |
| A past hero | An inherited class or ability | Connects the story of an earlier era to combat progression. |
| Your chosen commands | The predicted enemy action | Brings the inherited toolkit into the Future Sight system. |
For the narrative side of inheritance, visit Generations. For Wade’s relationship with his own missing past, read his character profile. These pages separate the people involved from the mechanical questions a finished class guide will answer.
