Are they the same game?

Yes. Marvelous USA’s announcement explicitly identifies Eternal Anima as the game originally teased under the working title PROJECT LIFE is RPG in 2023. Project Life is RPG is the earlier project name, not a separate installment or a subtitle for another edition.

The earlier title remains useful when searching for the project’s development history. For the current game, stores, release information and official materials use Eternal Anima.

Marvelous describes the game as combining experienced RPG creators with a newer generation of developers. The announcement points to the late 1990s and early 2000s as an inspiration, while presenting the game as a new work with modern visuals and its own systems.

How the idea of legacy enters the game

The theme is visible in three connected places. First, Wade’s lost memories create a personal reason to uncover history. Second, ancestors and descendants give a region more than one historical perspective. Third, inherited classes and abilities let the past alter the practical choices available during battle.

Those connections are the organizing idea behind this wiki. The timeline follows the story’s announced historical structure, Generations follows family relationships, and the Psychometry guide explains the progression mechanic.
